Symposium Mustervertragsklauseln 2.0

tcFUS-control – Many thanks to our partners

06. Februar 2024

Many thanks to our partners from Universitätsklinik Bonn, INSIGHTEC, and Fraunhofer MEVIS for a great collaboration in the concluded project tcFUScontrol funded by ZIM. We aimed at developing an Advanced Therapy Control System for transcranial MR-guided Focused Ultrasound for Essential and Parkinson’s Tremor.

The consortium made progress in using Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) MR images to measure the permeability of the blood brain barrier (BBB). Apart from that, a software tool for easier therapy planning computing the location of nerve fibre tracks in the brain based on Diffusion Tensor Imaging was developed.

DeepRAY – last year started

23. Januar 2024

The countdown is on: The final year of our DeepRAY project has begun. Together with our partners at Universitätsmedizin Mannheim we are working to integrate our WHITEBOX into the clinical workflow of routine abdominal CT scans. We will screen the patients for aortic aneurysms and dissections with AI-based algorithms (what else?).

The WHITEBOX enables easy and secure DICOM image transfer between the PACS and external server clusters for fast image analyses and notification of clinical staff.

First milestones are achieved: the WHITEBOX is a PACS node of the research PACS and retrospective data analysis can be performed easily. Now we are aiming to install our system in the clinic PACS for prospective evaluations.

The project DeepRAY is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research.
