Christmas market in Heidelberg

11. December 2024

Today, we spent our lunch break at the magical Christmas market in Heidelberg.
We took the tram to get there, which added to the charm of the experience. The weather was cold but dry, making it perfect for strolling around and enjoying the festive atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the market, and the treats were simply delicious!
A big thank you to our COO Julia Müller for this wonderful lunch break idea.

No more inconsistent image data

10. December 2024

Don’t waste your precious time with inconsistent image data in your central radiological read for a clinical trial.
Our image data management software mTRIAL comprises study specific protocol conformity checks in automatic image data management workflows. And to make it even better, our imaging experts check every image visually for field of view and artefacts so that you can focus on the things that really matter.
You don’t need to worry about a thing – we handle it all for you.

No more CDs…

03. December 2024

Stop sending CDs with image data all over the world. Simply upload your medical images via web browser to the central study server – with automatic pseudonymization before upload.
Our study servers are hosted in Germany and comply to BSI C5 standard.
mediri’s image data management software mTRIAL covers the complete workflow of a clinical study from upload to central read and reporting. All stakeholders of a project have real-time access to the image data base. This way we make clinical studies more efficent and secure.

Summary of the 32. BVMA Symposium in Munich

26. November 2024

Did you already know that the “Medizinforschungsgesetz” incorporates new regulations for radiation protection notifications? A streamlined procedure for these notifications aims at ensuring that radiation protection-relevant studies, e.g. with imaging end points based on PET or CT imaging, in Germany are approved at a similar speed as in other European countries.
This and many other aspects of the current situation in clinical research have been discussed at the 32. BVMA Symposium in Munich last week, most of them with an optimistic perspective for the next years. Germany is starting to catch up again, because more clinical trials in Germany will not only contribute to our BIP but also provide access to the newest therapies for many patients – many of us.

Many Thanks to BVMA – Bundesverband Medizinischer Auftragsinstitute e.V. for this energizing event!

Meet our COO at the BVMA Symposium

22. November 2024

Are you still waiting for CDs to be delivered? Meet our COO Julia Müller at the BVMA Symposium in Munich tomorrow and discuss efficient and secure ways of medical image data sharing and evaluation in clinical studies.

BosomShield in Dijon

11. November 2024

We’re thrilled to share that our Ph.D. student, Yaqeen Ali, recently completed a two-month secondment at the Faculté de Médecine, Université de Bourgogne Franche-Comté in Dijon, France, as part of the BosomShield project.
During his time there, he focused on feature extraction, selection, and classification to identify molecular subtypes of breast cancer across various MRI modalities.
Our heartfelt thanks to Fabrice Meriaudeau, Alain Lalande, and Tewele Weletnsea TAREKE for their invaluable support and collaboration.

New Project: SIMAB

23. October 2024

Just imagine…you are planning a multi-center imaging study and you can choose whichever site you want irrespective of the MR scanner they have. In SIMAB, Fraunhofer MEVIS and mediri GmbH are developing a vendor-agnostic MR sequence development framework to increase the comparability of imaging biomarkers regardless of the employed scanner equipment.
Structural imaging biomarkers as brain atrophy or lesions will be assessed as well as functional indicators of neurological diseases, e.g. brain perfusion or permeability.
SIMAB is funded by the German Ministry for Research and Education.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

08. October 2024

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an international effort to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention, research, and treatment. It highlights the crucial role of early detection and ongoing efforts to combat the disease.

We’re proud to be part of the Marie-Sklodowska-Curie network BosomShield, which combines clinical, pathological, and radiological data to enhance breast cancer treatments. Our PhD students are currently working on AI-based lesion segmentation and classification on images of different modalities aiming for better relapse propability prediction.
