breast cancer awareness

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a global initiative to promote prevention, early detection, and innovative research against breast cancer.

We’re proud to contribute to this mission through our involvement in the Marie-Skłodowska-Curie network BosomShield. Together, we’re advancing breast cancer treatment by integrating clinical, pathological, and radiological data.

Our PhD researchers are developing AI-driven methods for lesion segmentation and classification across multiple imaging modalities — aiming to improve relapse probability prediction and support more personalized care.

Let’s keep pushing boundaries in research and raising awareness.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an international effort to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention, research, and treatment. It highlights the crucial role of early detection and ongoing efforts to combat the disease.

We’re proud to be part of the Marie-Sklodowska-Curie network BosomShield, which combines clinical, pathological, and radiological data to enhance breast cancer treatments. Our PhD students are currently working on AI-based lesion segmentation and classification on images of different modalities aiming for better relapse propability prediction.

These numbers again stress the importance of research in breast cancer detection and relapse prediction. We are proud to be part of the Marie-Sklodowska Curie network bosomshield.eu aiming at the combination of clinical, pathological and radiological data for better treatment and therapies. Still, early detection of breast cancer is one of the most important factors for successfull treatment, so be mindful and take care of yourself!
