Once again, mediri’s work in the field of motion tracking for image guided therapies was presented to the scientific community. The International Symposium of Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU) 2016 in Tel Aviv, was the perfect opportunity to show the results of our collaboration to the TRANS-FUSIMO Project.
From March 14th to 16th, around 260 members of the scientific and medical community met in Tel Aviv, Israel to join the International Symposium of Therapeutic Ultrasound 2016. This time, one of the main discussion topics was neuromodulation and blood brain barrier-manipulation with focused ultrasound. Besides the presentations given by experts from all around the world, the event gave the participants the chance to attend a live transcranial MRgFUS treatment of essential tremor broadcasted from a nearby hospital.
During the ISTU, mediri’s motion tracking solution for image guided therapies was presented. Our work, in the areas of focused ultrasound surgery (FUS) and high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), as well as high precision whole body radiation therapy was presented by Dr. J. Jenne on a poster and a talk. The results correspond to our collaboration as part of the EU-Founded TRANS-FUSIMO Project.
